The 6 cm (2.36\u201d) depth is suitable for plants that require a slightly longer root run before transplanting, such as tomatoes, peppers, and brassicas. Each cell has a small drainage hole to allow excess water to escape; however, very fine compost may wash out initially \u2013 bottom watering is recommended. The PP material is reusable if cleaned gently after each cycle. Because the trays are not supplied with a solid base or dome, you may place them on a separate leak-proof tray or on capillary matting. The black colour helps keep roots dark and discourages algae growth on the soil surface. To clean, soak in warm water with mild dish soap, then rinse and air dry. Avoid stacking heavy items on empty trays as this may cause deformation. This product does not include a humidity cover; for high-moisture germination, use a separate propagation dome or cling film.
