Description: Ten complete 1020-size seed starter sets, each consisting of a 72-cell plug tray and a matching solid base tray. The cell inserts are made from HDPE, which offers better resistance to bending and cracking compared to general-purpose plastics. Each cell has a small bottom opening to allow water absorption from the base tray while preventing excessive soil loss. The base trays are made from recycled polystyrene and have no holes; they act as a water reservoir for bottom irrigation. This design encourages roots to grow downward in search of moisture. The 1020 size fits most standard propagation racks and heat mats. After use, separate the cell trays from the base trays, rinse with water, and scrub gently with a vegetable brush. Do not use solvents or high-pressure steam. These trays are intended for starting flower and vegetable plugs such as broccoli, cabbage, marigolds and snapdragons. Germination results vary with seed age, temperature, and watering regime. This product does not include a humidity dome – a separate dome can be purchased if required.
